Tonight is the first concert of my Stone Residency. The Stone is John Zorn's non-profit space at East 2nd street and Avenue C in New York City.
A retrospective spanning a 40 year music career.
These concerts will present new and improvised music that spans styles from rock to experimental. Ron Anderson will perform with two different groups each night featuring musicians that he has worked with from his formative days in the 1980’s till present.

Ron meet Al Margolis in the mid-eighties when they were both active parts of the Brooklyn’s music underground. This set is dedicated to the avant-music series “Bar None” which ran in Brooklyn for seven months in 1987~1988.

Ron first performed with Shelley Hirsch in 1994 at the Vorax Festival - Vicenza, Italy when Shelly sat in with the Molecules. Anthony Coleman is a guest performer on the 2011 Ron Anderson’s PAK Tzadik release Secret Curve.
